Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is looking for is looking for a highly skilled electrician with experience working with high voltage projects.  Our client is one of the leading manufacturers of power generation turbines in the world.  As part of our team, you would go into work every day knowing that what you do affects the lives of people across the globe.

The Industrial Electronics Electrician is responsible for installing and maintaining various electronics systems and equipment on site in San Diego, CA.  You will be expected to interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, and computerized control logic systems.   A strong understanding of trade practices, manufacturers and underwriters specifications, NEC (National Electrical Code), municipal codes and ordinances, and electrical theory is crucial to this role.

Minimum Qualifications     

  • Related experience with alternating current electrical systems
  • Experience with diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of control circuits
  • Experience removing and replacing faulty components
  • Strong technical, electrical skills
  •  A good understanding and experience working with switch gear and associated controls
  • Experience in programming variable frequency drives
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications     

  • Experience troubleshooting malfunctioning electrical /electronic equipment, variable frequency drives, generators, generator controls/monitoring devices, motor control centers, motors, transformers, switch gear, power supplies, converters, and safety relays.
  • Experience functionally testing, repairing, replacing, adjusting controls and related components to optimize equipment.
