Industrial Engineer
Responsibilities
- Develop work instructions, manufacturing drawings, technical specifications, performance data and process checklists necessary to manufacture the product to meet the highest standards
- Create innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
- Assist in developing the quality procedures necessary to validate the product
- Define, develop, and/or acquire the appropriate fixtures/tools needed for the manufacturing process
- Collect and analyze production data to improve processes, analyze trends in equipment issues, suggest and implement corrective actions to solve manufacturing issues
- Generate project schedules and deliver monthly status reports
- Create and maintain manufacturing procedures, work and training instructions, and documentation (BOMs, etc.)
- Support the efforts of Environmental Health/Training for the factory
- Participate in tracking of Safety KPI’s and perform company mandated safety training. Lead safety initiatives throughout the facility.
Education and Experience
- Must have bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably industrial engineering)
- Minimum of (5) years’ experience in manufacturing industrial/process engineering
- CAD or AutoCAD experience required
- Expertise in Lean Kaizen and 5S programs in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
- Should have a strong understanding of PFMEA, Error Proofing and Standard Work and Flow along with Control Plans
- 5 Years’ experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred
- 6 Sigma certification a plus
