Industrial Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop work instructions, manufacturing drawings, technical specifications, performance data and process checklists necessary to manufacture the product to meet the highest standards
• Create innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
• Assist in developing the quality procedures necessary to validate the product
• Define, develop, and/or acquire the appropriate fixtures/tools needed for the manufacturing process 
• Collect and analyze production data to improve processes, analyze trends in equipment issues, suggest and implement corrective actions to solve manufacturing issues
• Generate project schedules and deliver monthly status reports
• Create and maintain manufacturing procedures, work and training instructions, and documentation (BOMs, etc.)
• Support the efforts of Environmental Health/Training for the factory
• Participate in tracking of Safety KPI’s and perform company mandated safety training. Lead safety initiatives throughout the facility. 

Education and Experience

• Must have bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably industrial engineering)
• Minimum of (5) years’ experience in manufacturing industrial/process engineering
• CAD or AutoCAD experience required
• Expertise in Lean Kaizen and 5S programs in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
• Should have a strong understanding of PFMEA, Error Proofing and Standard Work and Flow along with Control Plans
• 5 Years’ experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred
• 6 Sigma certification a plus
