Job Description

VOLT is hiring for an Industrial Maintenance Robot Mechanic, working in Arvin, CA for a food manufacturing plant.

Pay depends on experience. Must be able to work any shift, OT, and weekends. 

Candidate will analyze and repair both electrically and pneumatically energized automated machinery. To perform preventative maintenance on all types of electrically and pneumatically energized automated machinery and maintain complete and accurate documentation as required.


  • Must pass the maintenance 1 electrician qualification exams and demonstrate a working knowledge of all aspects of the maintenance 1 electrician level.
  • Read and understand information on plant systems, machinery nomenclature, and electrical schematics.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Three Phase, Single Phase AC circuits, low voltage DC circuits, and all peripheral devices associated with electrical motors.
  • Ladder logic diagrams and basic control schematics.
  • Required to repair automated machinery, rebuild automated machinery, and perform preventative maintenance on automated machinery.
  • Fill out logs and maintenance records as directed.
  • Handle minor electrical/ machinery breakdowns without assistance.
  • Rotate to a different shift.
  • Must be able to communicate with co-workers in English and write in English
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
  • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity exams. 


Position requires continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing. Walking and balancing on both even and uneven surfaces, standing, bending, twisting, stooping, climbing, reaching forward, reaching overhead and below the shoulder, sight and must be able to lift up to 75 Lbs.
