Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring immediately for a  Information System Security Manager (ISSM/ISSO) in  Dulles, VA

Must have a Current and Active Top Secret clearance with current SSBI Investigation; must be SCI eligible.

Job Description:

Our ISSM is responsible for ensuring appropriate security controls are maintained for a diversified complement of classified information systems supporting customer-sponsored efforts. System security controls are implemented throughout the life-cycle of these varied systems. The ISSM serves as a lead on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the configuration and maintenance of these classified information systems. You apply the detailed knowledge (such as Window and Linux security controls) and expertise to assess and manage the security aspects of information systems, and you are assigned responsibility for the day-to-day security operations of the systems. This responsibility may also include some physical and environmental protection, incident handling, and IA security training and awareness. The ISSM will assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of security policies and procedures and ensures compliance with those policies and procedures. Additionally, the ISSM monitors systems and its environment of operation to include developing and updating the security plan, managing and controlling changes to the system, and assessing the security impact of those changes.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting weekly system security audits

• Performing security compliance assessments and analysis using automated scanning tools

• Ensuring hardware sanitization and release utilizing pre-approved procedures

• Performing Data Transfer Agent duties

• Performing compliance inspections

• Ensuring Configuration Management (CM) control

• Writing, reviewing, and coordinating Certification and Accreditation activities

• Providing information assurance guidance and oversight

• Drafting, implementing approved Concept of Operations (CONOPS) that accurately reflects the installation and security provisions for program requests

• Conducting annual assessments and self-audits of the computer systems

For consideration, candidates should have:

• Technical bachelor’s degree and 10 plus years’ or experience in a ISSM/ISSO role.

• The ISSM must have knowledge of the Risk Management Framework and FISMA implementations.

• Experience with ICD-503 (Intelligence Community Information Technology Systems Security Risk Management, Certification and Accreditation) and/or JSIG (Joint SAP Implementation Guide), NISPOM, and JAFAN.

• Work experience with Risk Management Framework and FISMA including vulnerability scanning tools such as WASSUP, SECSCAN or NESSUS/ACAS.

• Work experience with processes and tools to maintain, archive, sanitize, and retrieve digital files.

• Knowledgeable with the DIAS database for COMSEC articles is a benefit.

• Experience sharing information while promoting users to become more aware, self-reliant and engaged in the IA process.

• Experience successfully collaborating and communicating with customers and other government representatives.
