Our client is a business unit of a major o&g company,who is currently seeking an Inside Sales professional interested in working with their Marine Solutions team.  The product line covers marine products used on ships and rigs worldwide.

Summary Statement

The main objective of this position is to increase  Marine revenue by providing exceptional customer service, working with End Users,  Marine sales representatives and End  Local Business Partners.


The successful candidate will be the Primary Point of Contact (PPC) for the 

Marine product lines sold across North America. The job requires a proficiency with administrative functions, a commercial acumen and disciplined problem-solving skills. Providing superior commercial and technical assistance to the outside sales teams and to the end users is the main focus of this position.  

Training will be provided so that the successful candidate can become skilled in these marine areas.  The technologies cover marine based tank level gauging, fuel metering and remote-control valve operating systems, all for shipboard and offshore installations.


The successful candidate will also receive training in  commercial policies and practices. Daily / regular tasks will include quoting, order taking, order processing, order

fulfillment, technical support and warranty & logistics issues.

Direct communication with ship owners, vessel managers, shipping agents, port engineers and marine superintendents will be a large part of the successful candidate’s

outbound activity.  The Inside Sales Professional must be proactive in the advocacy of  Marine products by expanding sales through the offering of additional options and complimentary products, services or training.  This will require regular communication with the outside sales force regarding North American sales activity, funnel loading and project pipeline metrics.



Technical training on the  Marine product lines will be supplied to develop the required competencies, building on the experience which the candidate has demonstrated during the selection process. Receiving and responding to client technical inquiries will further occupy the time of the Inside Sales professional. It is important that this individual is able to provide intermediate level pre-sale and post-sale technical support for designated product and digital communication systems.
