We are looking to hire 5 Inspection Technicians to work a selection of different shifts (Afternoon shift, Night shift, Weekend Night Shift and Weekend Day Shift) for approximately a 6 months' assignment with the possibility of extension with our Client in the Aerospace sector in Oakville, ON, through our Company Volt Workforce Solutions Canada.

  • We have 5 positions available at different shifts listed below (PLEASE SELECT ONE WHEN APPLYING):
  • SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
    • 2 positions available for an Afternoon Shift from Mon-Fri between 3 pm - 11 pm EST (PAY RATE + SHIFT PREMIUM (.95/hour))
    • 1 position available for a Night Shift from Mon-Fri between 11 pm - 7 am EST (PAY RATE + SHIFT PREMIUM (1.44/hour))
    • 1 position available for a Weekend Night Shift  from Friday – Sunday between 3 pm to 3 am EST (PAY RATE + SHIFT PREMIUM (1.44/hour))
    • 1 position available for a Weekend Day Shift from Friday – Sunday between 3 am to 3 pm EST  (PAY RATE + SHIFT PREMIUM (.95/hour))

    Reporting to the Supervisor, Quality Control, as the Inspection Technician on assignment, you will be responsible for the inspection and acceptance of in-process and completed Landing Gear Assemblies, and related detailed components.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Perform First Article Inspection of Landing Gear parts to Drawing as per AS9102.
    • Perform inspection & acceptance of detail parts with flexibility of working in machining, surface finishing, and assembly shops following LG quality procedures and specific instructions.
    • Evaluate products for acceptance criteria and initiate rejection process where required.
    • Complete diverse paperwork and systems records for trace-ability and movement of products; perform product and process audits.
    • Perform work safely with heavy parts using a variety of inspection tools.
    • Apply 5S workplace organization & follow the companies Lean initiatives.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Basic Qualifications:

    • Engineering degree or College diploma in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent and related work experience.
    • A minimum 1 year of quality inspection experience in a similar manufacturing environment; aerospace experience would be considered an asset.
    • Completion of relevant quality control certification CGSB Level 1 Visual would be an asset.
    • Experience with ISO standards and/or equivalent quality, military, or government standards.
    • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and adhere to drawings, specifications, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and related quality control documentation and standards
    • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
    • Excellent organization skills.
    • Willingness to work with a team, share expertise, and follow instructions to accomplish established goals
    • Standard computer skills, knowledge of SAP and Catia would be an asset
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment.
    • Successful candidates must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
