Volt has an opening in Cupertino, CA for an Instructional Designer to create innovative training solutions to develop blended instructional content in support of our client’s global recruiting business. Volt's Client is an American multinational technology company that designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, computer software, and online services.

Responsibilities include:

  • You’ll design and build extraordinary learning material for a wide range of platforms to support multiple delivery types—including web, on the job, virtual classroom, and classroom.
  • You’ll write storyboards and produce multimedia solutions that utilize technology to achieve learning objectives—including videos, interactive authoring, simulations, games, and more.
  • You’ll work with people around the world (recruiting leaders, marketing professionals, business partners, consumer insights teams, regional training, editors, creative teams and more) to create training that’s significant and of the highest quality.
  • You’ll drive the entire lifecycle of training, from analyzing training needs to building content to delivery.
  • You’ll work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, vibrant environment where quality, creativity and accountability are tradition.
  • Collaborate with other subject matter experts and curriculum developers to ensure that format and delivery support the learning needs of a wide audience.
  • Respond to feedback on the resources and assist in engaging the recruiting community.
  • You’ll be pushed to work faster, smarter, and better every single day.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; a Master's Degree in a related field is a plus
  • 5+ years of technology-based instructional design and training delivery experience using adult learning methodologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Experience leading learning programs including planning, scheduling, project communication, issue resolution, change management, and risk management.
  • Ability to facilitate brainstorming sessions and gather requirements from partners.
  • Proven experience in video production, including scripting, storyboarding, voiceover, motion graphics, and editing.
  • Understanding of multimedia tools, software and graphics applications, such as Final Cut Pro, iMovie, HTML5, JavaScript, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Captivate and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience creating learning content for multicultural and global adult audiences.
  • Ability to make steady progress and remain calm in ambiguous environments.
  • Proven ability to actively establish rapport, credibility and influence, and get results throughout an organization.
  • Have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable leading the project while partnering with the experts to deliver content and placement.
  • Balances multiple priorities and partners, constantly communicating status updates.
  • Experience leading front of room training, presenting and facilitating sessions for employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop large scale projects to identify and deliver effective training solutions for recruiting and hiring manager alike
  • Consistent track record of developing strategies to support a staffing organization preferred
  • Broad understanding of recruiting and standard methodologies preferred
  • Experience leading international projects desirable
