Instructional Designer (6-month contract)
Chicago, IL

Volt has partnered with a growing healthcare client of ours in search of an Instructional Designer role!

• Under direction of L&D departmental management or project strategist, implement content and formatting updates to learning materials (e.g., facilitator guides and visual displays such as slides, class/workshop participant materials, digital job aids, online quizzes and surveys, eLearning courses).
• Provide regular progress and status updates on assigned work.
• Coordinate review and approval activities and perform quality-control checks for updated learning materials.

• Revising/copyediting instructional and technical content for use in synchronous (both physical and virtual classroom) and asynchronous (e.g., eLearning, job aids) workplace learning settings.
• Formatting of MSWord, MS PowerPoint and PDF documents, including using formatting templates, etc.
• Using eLearning authoring tools (Captivate, Storyline, Vyond, etc.)
• Working with L&D strategists to clarify revisions for learning materials, coordinate SME reviews, etc.
• Operating against defined project schedules.
• Applying strong attention to detail and quality-control standards.
• Using clear written and oral communications in a professional workplace setting.
• Exercising self-discipline in managing time and work priorities.
• Leveraging high level of experience with basic business workplace technology (e.g., MSOffice suite including Outlook and Teams, SharePoint, VDI, WebEx).
• Working with call center, clinician/physician, and/or sales & marketing departments in a fast-paced healthcare or insurance organization.

Work Arrangement:
• 100% remote.
• Availability during standard US Central Time business hours, with some flexibility possible based on pre-arranged circumstances.
• Use of own PC laptop.
• Will supply Captivate user license if contractor doesn’t have their own; prefer that contractor has own Storyline 3/360 user license.
