Job Description

Volt is currently hiring for  full life cycle engineering on state of the art environmental, commercial, & sensing systems for government & commercial applications in Aurora CO. 

Role and Responsibilities include: Responsible for the subsystem, element, segment and system verification testing of ground segment systems; technical responsibilities include test plan preparation and maintenance, test verification requirements development, test procedure development, test conduct and test report development; process responsibilities are participating in engineering requirement reviews, technical document peer reviews, conducting peer reviews, preparing and statusing verification traces; provide extensive technical advice to resolve difficult test implementation problems; responsible for providing specialized technical advice and information to systems and software engineering and coordinating this information across test projects; organizing the development and approval of engineering test requirements and specifications for operational feasibility and product ability; implementing definition of test concepts, which will be used to meet the functional test requirements; organizing and developing test plans, including tests to be performed at vendor, company, or field facilities, and the test procedures to be followed; monitoring the test activity to verify compliance with established plans, requirements and procedures, and to ensure system integrity and readiness; implementing test conduct disciplines throughout the test life cycle; developing work statements and estimates on test portion of bid proposals; monitoring and assuring prompt accurate time charging and compliance with all project and company regulations.

MUST have a current secret clearance;

Required Skills include:

  • Must have experience working in at least one technical security domain as defined by ISC^2’s CISSP domain decomposition (Communication and Network Security, Identity and Access Management, Security Assessment and Testing, Security Operations, and/or Software Development Security);
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience with preparing test procedures, conducting test procedures, utilizing discrepancy report systems; working within Integrated Product Teams;
  • 4+ years of experience in preparing and statusing detailed test schedules, Automated testing and test script development, and specifying test verification requirements;
  • 2+ years of experience in performing system test planning and implementation for medium to large scale systems using state-of-the-art technology, preparing and presenting technical and readiness review data, hands-on technical administration of Linux, Windows, and/or Network devices, experience working in an environment requiring compliance to Information Assurance standards such as DoDI 8500.2, NIST 800-53, PCI, HIPAA, etc.;
  • must be will to travel 10%.

Skills include:

  • experience using Microsoft Office Suite;
  • current Security Certification (CISSP, Security+, CompTIA, etc.);
  • active participation in STIG compliance checking; use of security tools such as or similar to LogRhythm, Nessus, Malware Detection, HPOV, and/or Tripwire.
