Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking an Inventory Analyst IV in the Grovetown, GA Area!

Job Description:

  • Searches for trends and identifies problems in the inventory control and develops inventory metrics. Determines root cause of problems using six sigma problem solving methodology.
  • Develops corrective action plans and revises metrics as necessary.
  • Monitors corrective action plan results.
  • Pursues ongoing system improvements, evaluating new technology as potential solutions to existing problems.
  • Facilitates change management for the inventory control process.

Duties:

  • Researches, analyzes and documents the various inventory data, setting up metrics to evaluate and interpret trends using six sigma methodologies.
  • Develops a process to determine the type of inventory audit needed to improve inventory integrity.
  • Analyzes inventory count results identifying problem areas, root cause analysis of problem and suggests corrective action plans.
  • Performs on-going parts statistical sampling audits.
  • Develops a corrective action process for inbound parts with a high receipt error rate, as well as perform analysis of PD5 reported errors identifying parts packaging problems implementing corrective actions to include communication to problem suppliers.
  • Participates in department and cross-functional process improvement teams. Documents best practices and lessons learned to enable sharing throughout the division.

Requirements:

 Candidate must be analytical and comfortable in a production environment. The employee must be able to adapt to change. Must have proficient skills in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and other advanced data gathering tools is desired but not required. Strong likelihood that position will be extended beyond one year. Hours - Monday-Friday 7am - 4pm - must be able to support off shift hours, overtime, and weekends as needed.

• Experience using the appropriate operating and information systems such as SAP, Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, and other moderately advanced formula creation)

• Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques with the ability to present the information in a usable format

• Experience with root cause and conducting trend analysis of incidents

• Experience with bills of material (BOMs)

• Experience using Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time, Demand Flow Technology, Kanban and other delivery methods • Experience with, or supporting, shop floor manufacturing and/or warehouse operation

• Excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment

• Experience communicating across functions (such as: supply management, engineering, and operations

Related Work Experience/Education

• B.D. Preferred or 5 or more years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Material Flow, or Supply Management

• Experience with Inventory methods such as cycle counting and Operational Inventory Accuracy methods.

• Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools

• SAP Warehouse Management module experience

• Knowledge of change management principles and techniques. Ability to resolve conflict swiftly and decisively. Ability to manage workload and prioritization in a fast paced environment.
