Warehouse Inventory Clerk

We are looking for a dynamic individual to come in and become part of our high-quality human-grade pet food warehouse team. The individual should have a great understanding on how merchandise is received, moved, and shipped within an organization.

Job Summary

Summary: To maintain inventory control by tracking all receipts, shipments, and conducting regular inventory reconciliation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain records of all facility inventory including purchase orders and replenishment orders
  • Manage FIFO process
  • Produce inventory reports for the Logistics Supervisor on a regular basis
  • Ensure that production records and actual facility inventory match up
  • Keep all stock organized and replenished as necessary
  • Locate and remove expired or defective product from the production floor
  • Pack up defective items for return, create shipping labels, and mail items
  • Reduce inventory discrepancies
  • Use computerized inventory software to record, track, and maintain all inventory related data
  • Assist staff on the production floor when necessary
  • Accept and sign for facility deliveries as needed
  • Inspect deliveries for completeness and damage
  • Ensure deliveries are appropriately stored, including inner division transfers
  • Replenish stock on the production floor
  • Adjust inventory reports to account for new deliveries
  • Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse
  • Compile inventory balances and price lists
  • Maintain records of all activities and processes pertaining to the storehouse
  • Ensure safe conduct of warehouse operations
  • Other duties as necessary

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include the following, but not limited to:

Experience with inventory software

Specific knowledge of company’s range of services

Ability to interpret and explain inventory and production reports

Organizational skills

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED

Work experience in inventory control is strongly preferred

Individuals applying must work well in a team atmosphere, have the ability to adapt, be a detailed-orientated, self-starter, and thrive in working in a fast-paced environment. The applicant will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
