General job Description

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for counting all inventories (Raw Materials and Packaging) and entering all physical counts in the company’s main database.  This person will print count sheets, enter count variances, will validate variances, will participate in month end inventory counts, and may trouble shoot inventory variances.  This position requires lifting as much as 50 lbs. and daily repetitive data entry, working in 37 Degree environment and working in a Freezer for 20 minutes at a time, from time to time.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Count inventory items in all Warehouses and Locations, lifting and moving packaging items in the warehouse up to 50 lbs. is required when boxes are not in their designated location. Lifting ingredients located in the freezer up to 50 lbs. is required when boxes are not in their designated location.  

Records all counts manually and enters the data in the NAVISION computer system. May use calculator to ensure accurate calculations.  

Inventory Clerk compares the quantities of items physically present in the warehouse to the inventory values recorded in the NAVISION database. If there is a difference between the 2 values, the discrepancy may be entered, or the discrepancy may by investigated by reviewing Inventory Transactions in the NAVISION database.  Data entry estimate: 3 - 6 hour daily.

Enter the Inventory Adjustments on Finish Product in the NAVISION database system.

Perform reconciliations on Production report values and Navision system values for finish products.

Perform recounts on items with material differences. 

Participates in physical inventory counts and auditor observations.  Assists in counting all Inventory items selected by the auditor

Other duties as assigned.


  • High School Graduate or general education degree (GED)
  • Previous experience in production inventory control 1+years.
  • Previous experience with closing work orders and reconciling labor data.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills and ten key by touch.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish must read and write both.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must possess good Math, Writing, reasoning, and logic Skills.
