Inventory Control Clerk

Temp to Hire

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr

Day Shift- 8am to 4:30pm

Mon-Fri


Volt’s client, one of the largest grocery wholesalers and retailers in the United States is looking to fill several Inventory Control Clerk positions, located in Centralia WA. An Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for tracking inventory and maintaining accurate inventory records as well as researching any discrepancies.


Essential Functions:

  • Monitors product velocity and tracks lost sales and in-house damages. 
  • Researches inventory adjustments and maintains high service levels (low out of stock).
  • Initiates date checks, periodic cycle counts (3 months in grocery and repack and every 3-4 weeks in cooler/freezer) as well as quality checks.
  • Researches mis-slots and quality issues, verifies pick slots and back stock verification.
  • Participates in year-end physical inventory. 
  • Collaborates with Purchasing on pack size and other product file issues. 
  • Alerts management of potential safety problems or violations. 
  • Troubleshoots daily Inventory Control issues. 
  • Tracks expiration dates (particularly cooler/freezer items). 
  • Tracks foodbank and salvaged product. 
  • Coordinates new items and changes in pack size, product description and discontinued product.


    Qualifications
  • Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, walking and Lifting of 75lbs. 
  • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from -10 to 90 degrees.
  • Must be 18 years of age due to equipment operation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding; subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
  • Steady work pace required due to production requirements
