Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is looking to hire an Inventory Control Specialist for our client in Mississauga, ON.  In this role you would compile and maintain records of the quantity, type, and value of material stocked. To do this, you would track the physical counts of all materials, as well as investigating count variances. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Compares inventories to office records or computer figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase receipts to reconcile current inventory.
  • Coordinates location maintenance to check accuracy of locations that have material as well as various other locations that have pass-through or missing quantities.
  • Performs inventory adjustments initiated from Management to remove excess and obsolete (E&O) and scrap material from inventory.
  • Forwards the locations of the adjustments to warehouse, MRB and RMA personnel to coordinate the disposal of the material.
  • Adheres to and complies to ISO procedures and policies and supports programs.
Tasks will include but not limited to the following:
Cycle Counts, EDI resolutions, ROP Requests, Scrap Requests, Receive/Create/Ship inventory, Field Warehouse Maintenance, Field Reporting, Logistics, Problem Forms, EZ Flow and Overstock Reduction Plans
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-5 years of warehouse/inventory control experience.
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work autonomously on their own tasks
  • Must be PC literate and have the aptitude to learn operation of other computer systems.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and other commonly used applications software is preferred.
  • Oracle experience is a major plus.
