Looking for a candidate familiar with a lab environment and able to follow directions and process. This position is a sterile environment and all employees must have steel toe shoes, wear safety goggles and before entering a lab room being fully gowned up/covered

Position:                   POU Technician (Inventory Technician)

Location:                  Collegeville, PA 19426

Duration:                  3 month - Potential Temp to Perm

Pay Rate:                  $ 14 hr

Schedule:                Mon. - Fri.    |    7:00 am - 4:00 pm

We are looking for candidates that are dependable, hard-working, quick learners, good customer service skills, able to follow specific instructions and utilize customer specific computer systems.

The Inventory Technician is responsible for carrying out routine tasks at a customer site, all of which may include: receiving, point of use replenishment (inventory), production packaging, cylinder delivery, pickup, waste disposal and glass washing. Must be cognizant of and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitates orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment
  • Receives inbound shipments from UPS, FedEx, and other common carriers
  • Responsible for handling hazardous material
  • Manages customer’s warehouse inventory
  • Handles and manages chemicals
  • Maintains and checks safety stations
  • Basic shipping duties
  • May require traveling between customer sites
  • Updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years’ experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service
  • Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG and OSHA Right to Know a plus
  • Previous experience working in a GMP facility a plus 
  • Knowledge of scientific products and services
