Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking an IT Analyst/Developer to work onsite at our client’s facility in East Moline, IL. This is a contingent position expected to last 2+ years.   

As an IT Analyst/Developer you will provide application development and support to partner in the planning, delivery and/or support of business processes utilizing information technology and business practices for strategic business units. In addition, you will:

  • Participate as required to design, develop, test and integrate applications of high complexity
  • Apply information analyses to optimize the integration of major strategic business processes
  • Lead in the implementation of information technology and business processes of high complexity
  • Design and implement complex changes impacting several processes with minimal direction
  • Serve as a key team member which may include being on multiple teams and/or team lead
  • Serve as a consultant or expert and actively share knowledge across workgroups
  • Primarily perform as an individual contributor, but may supervise a small work team (6 or fewer members)
  • Have expanded contact with responsibility to varied and multiple departments and functional operations, and actively participate in strategic business relationships.
  • May plan work and schedules for others for project related work

What Skills You Need

  • 4+ years of experience in programming/software development which involved changes in process
  • 4+ years of experience working with applications, data, infrastructure, and/or IT security
  • 1+ years of work experience in a team environment
  • Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management, performance tuning and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
  • Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 25% including occasional multi-week travel

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

  • Experience within a business environment with ERP or CRM is preferred
  • C# / .NET experience is preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations or previous versions of Microsoft AX is preferred
  • Use of Microsoft Visual Studio development tools is preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI or other business intelligence tools are preferred
  • Experience with software quality assurance or automated testing
  • An understanding of dealer business systems is preferred

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

  • Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience
  • Agile Development and extreme programming practices

***This position is located in East Moline, IL. Candidates must be able to relocate to this location at their own expense.***
