VOLT has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking an IT Analyst III to work onsite at our client’s facility in Mossville, IL. This is a contingent position expected to last approximately 36 months. (No C2C)

Candidate Responsibilities

Summary: The responsibilities of this role are diverse and daily tasks will vary. The main responsibility will be First level application support of web applications that includes understanding their features, bug fixes, updates, and new products. Customer support including confirming and reproducing bugs and errors, troubleshooting and attempting to fix bugs, performing database maintenance, oracle query development. Talking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues; supporting other divisions within the department for programming/web applications needs, answering customer questions and handling user requests. Opportunities to code or develop coding abilities also exist. Responsible for assisting in the creation and support of IT Solutions that enable Caterpillar success. Education/Experience: Computer-related or Engineering-related four-year College or University Degree (or equivalent). Eight to ten years progressively responsible IT job-related experiences. Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of the latest technology in programming languages, computing hardware and software and current development processes and tools. Ability to work both independently and with a cooperative team on complex projects that may span multiple infrastructure components or applications. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Working directly on application / technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions. Participating in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components.

Working tightly with small group and with a larger group to fulfill business needs, (i.e. product alignment)

Typical Day

Working with a team lead or business analyst to take feedback, etc. to develop, code, write, own a tool and bring the tool to production. Flexible working hours.

Technical Skills
Experience developing N-tier web applications using any of the following technologies: ColdFusion MX, Adobe Flex, ASP.NET, C# , SQL. Experience with the following technologies is desirable: Oracle 10g, JavaScript (jQuery, Prototype, Ext), CSS, SOAP, Web Services, SVN, MKS, MATE framework, LDAP

The incumbent will work in a team-based environment, helping to ensure that the best resources are applied to the given task and that any knowledge gained is leveraged across the group.
