Job Description

VOLT has partnered with an IT Services company who has a need for an IT Asset Manager to join their team in NYC.  The team is agile and provides IMAC solutions for the user community in NY and management of assets and build outs for remote locations across the globe.

The Asset Manager will complete the following tasks while on-site (Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day with OT provided on approval/project basis):

  • Create recommendations on how to better manage and reconcile inventory and related reporting
  • Submit purchase requisitions for laptop/desktop peripherals, coordinating with the purchasing team and the asset team manager
  • Creating customized reports and comparison to ensure accurate inventory
  • Track entire life-cycle management for each asset in order to maintain warrant, refresh date and end of life date information
  • Develop written plans, policies and procedures, and document processes to support implementation of asset management
  • Develop records, spreadsheets and databases from CMDB/JIRA information
  • Perform computer diagnostic troubleshooting steps as guided by tech support and documentation. 
  • Manage kicking off automated PC build scripts for all computer builds and image
  • Connect hardware and run a connectivity test script to ensure network connectivity. Basic network connectivity troubleshooting skills required.
  • Install/ remove hardware components (such as memory, video cards, hard drives, etc.). Processing and coordination for all computer repairs with vendors.
  • Perform storage room inventory and tasks to ensure all inventory is updated and assigned to appropriate locations and users.
  • Assist by un-boxing and preparing equipment for installation including but not limited to PCs,Monitors, Phones, cables, adapters, & components.
  • Relocating hardware and equipment between building storage rooms.
  • Analyze business needs, document requirements, and implement new processes to improve the efficiencies in Hardware asset management
  • Audit the asset inventory rooms in multiple location and reconsolidate or liquidate devices
  • Coordinate Asset Management meetings and interdepartmental actions
  • Candidate must have intermediate/advance knowledge of excel
  • All Desktop IMAC Services shall be performed to meet all company guidelines and policies
