Experienced Senior Auditor Needed- Excellent pay and growth opportunities!

Our client, a dominant player in the healthcare industry, is looking for a talented Senior Auditor to join their team in Boise, Idaho. Position Summary:

Performs complex level professional internal auditing work.  Work involves leading or conducting performance, financial, compliance, and information technology audit projects; providing consulting services to the organization’s management and staff; providing key input to development of the annual audit plan; and providing training and coaching to internal audit staff.  Responsible for identifying technology risks, and independently evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of information technology infrastructure and application controls, including security and internal controls.  Maintains all organizational and professional ethical standards.  Works independently under limited supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment. Administer the audit management software system. 

Qualifications:  

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or Business Administration); OR equivalent work experience (two years’ relevant work experience is equivalent to one year college). Four years’ experience in auditing, business analysis, or program evaluation, including at least one-year experience conducting information technology audits. Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or working towards a CISA certification and must be obtained within one year.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge:

  • Considerable knowledge of and skill in applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices, and management principles and preferred business practices.
  • Knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by The Institute of Internal Auditors.
  • Knowledge of management information systems terminology, concepts, and practices.
  • Considerable knowledge of distributed technology (i.e., Unix/Sybase and Windows NT), Web-based technology, and basic infrastructure control issues.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted Information Systems audit standards, statements and practices, and Information Systems security and control practices.

Skills:

  • Conducting quality control reviews of audit work products.
  • Collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.
  • Considerable skill in planning and project management, and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Negotiating issues and resolving problems.
  • Considerable skill in using a computer with word processing, spreadsheet, and other business software to prepare reports, memos, summaries, and analyses.
  • Considerable skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Considerable skill in assessing the effectiveness of internal controls over key IT risks, identifying significant exposures, analyzing transactions and other management information, and detecting changes in key risks and/or control effectiveness.  Skill in developing appropriate recommendations to address exposures.

Ability to:

  • Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff and external contacts. Work effectively in a professional team environment.
  • Learn new operations quickly and work independently a must.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Present findings and recommendations tactfully.
