Are you an Infrastructure IT Architect with Pre-Sales Engineering experience looking for FULL-TIME employment?

Do you have the ability to provide technical solutions in a client server / infrastructure environment to Systems and Networking Managers, Systems Analysts, Systems Engineers, Network engineers and other Architects?

Are you interested in having a flexible work schedule working from onsite 3 days and 2 days from home?

We are looking the fill this position quickly, a substantial relocation package is included.

The interview is a 2-phase process; Web-ex and Face to Face.

Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 with a 3 to 5 percent annual bonus.

Job Summary:  

The IT Architect’s role is to develop and maintain the high-level design plan for the overall logical and technical IT architecture. This individual will provide technical leadership and consulting across the organization, from strategic decision making down to team member enrollment and the project planning level. The IT Architect will gain organizational commitment and departmental buy-in for all high-level infrastructure plans and initiate and participate in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these plans.

Primary Tasks:

  • Create and maintain the enterprise’s technology architecture design.
  • Provide infrastructure architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to Systems and Networking Managers, Systems Analysts, Systems Engineers, Network engineers and other Architects.
  • Create and maintain the enterprise’s technology infrastructure architecture documents’ (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures).
  • Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a technology standards policy.
  • Develop and manage an infrastructure capacity plan.
  • Review new and existing IT projects, systems design, and procurement/outsourcing plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural plans.
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
  • Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in IT infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities and ability to integrate systems
  • Collaborate with end users and senior management to define business requirements for complex systems development and gain buy-in for all infrastructure plans.
  • 10 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines in a client/server or service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, including technical architecture, network design, application development, middleware, servers and storage, database management, and operations.
  • 7 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines in a client/server or service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, including technical architecture, network design, application development, middleware, servers and storage, database management, and operations.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization, networking, SAN and server hardware, programming, security, and project management
  • Experience in enterprise architecture design and document creation
  • Knowledge of hardware and software evaluation principles and practice
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Solid grounding in core enterprise applications, including Financial Systems, HR Systems, CRM applications, and Communication/Collaboration tools

Education

  • Bachelors degree
    • Nice to Have, but not a must - Master’s degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems 
  • Certifications in virtualization, CISCO networking, SAN and server hardware, programming, security, and project management
