VOLT’s client is looking for an IT Licensing Analyst/Software Librarian

This is an estimated 1 year + Contingent/Temporary position in Spokane, WA and offered through Volt Technical Resources. This role is responsible for the purchase requests, research, review and compliance of all software licenses and maintenance/support agreements.


  1. Review upgrade requests for existing software. (50%)
    • Review of EULA to ensure the license is applied correctly
    • Identify any associated costs
    • If required, arrange for the procurement of new licenses or obtain the documentation from the business to ensure the addition of software to the portfolio and Resource Library
  2. New software purchasing requests / Analysis & research (30%)
    • Sleuthing, tracking SAM, LAM, AD, AP, Radia/SCCM, business on who owns, do they need, etc.
    • Obtain quotes from Purchasing partners or Manufacturer depending on the software
    • Provide data to enter into procurement system
    • Provide receipt information to procurement system and Resource manager/SME
    • Document purchases in purchasing master and asset master if required.
    • Advise numbers for annual true up purchases for vendors enterprise level vendors
  3. Initiate software subscription renewals (10%)
  4. Monitor Compliance (10%)
    • Internal compliance review for usage compared to ownership
    • Participate in external audits with vendors
    • Ensure license keys are issued by the vendor and distributed to the delivery technicians upon request
    • Process request from the business for software currently in portfolio


  • Ability to research, track and drive issues
  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written) required
  • Indicates knowledge of business and organizational awareness
  • Prioritizes stakeholder partnership, relationship management and dynamic communicative methods
  • Experience with Enterprise Software Licensing (purchasing, managing inventory, research)
  • Experience with Enterprise Software compliance and auditing
  • Ability to read and interpret (EULA) Enterprise User License Agreement terms and conditions for enterprise level vendor partners
  • Demonstrates agility for learning, researching, adapting and responding to change
  • Exhibits ownership and commitment to achieving goals, objectives and business oriented results
  • Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Enterprise Software Licensing
  • Experience with Enterprise Software compliance and auditing
  • Ability to read and interpret (EULA) Enterprise User License Agreement terms and conditions for enterprise level vendor partners
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Expertise using Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
  • ITIL Certification preferred
  • Preferred experience with SCCM reporting and data mining
