Job Description

Our Client, based in San Diego is seeking an IT Manager to manage the day-to-day operations and support for all Software and Infrastructure systems.

The daily duties will include the following:

Support of all IT related on premise and cloud (such as AWS and Azure) infrastructures, including network, servers, workstations, hardware, and applications

Direction and prioritization of the day-to-day activities of help desk, infrastructure, networking, security, IT hardware, software and application support

System performance and capacity planning

Ensure maximum up-time and performance for network and Windows servers and Windows desktops

Development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plansĀ 

Monitor and maintenance of anti-virus, spyware and malware management solutions

Administration of AD, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSL (CA) services

Administration of Office 365

Administration of Dynamics GP, Dynamics CRM and SharePoint

Implementation and support of Microsoft WSUS, Group Policies and SQL 2005, 2008, 2012, 2014 servers

Deploying & management of user administration corporate wide, including creating users and groups, assigning user and group rights, setting up shares, volumes and directories, monitoring servers, storage and system events corporate wide

Patch Management for devices, servers, and applications

Documentation, maintenance, and execution of policies, procedures and service level agreements for IT operations

Ensure that policies and procedures for monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting the network are complete, accurate and up-to-date

Ensure strict adherence to departmental policies and procedures such as change management, configuration management, and security and access control

Qualifications:

Bachelors in a technical discipline or certification in Windows Server Administration or equivalent work experience

Maintain positive morale and unit cohesion as evidenced by maintaining a cooperative and flexible attitude toward coworkers, showing adaptability to change, exhibiting effective communication and interpersonal skills, and taking initiative to solve problems

Demonstrated ability to analyze and understand trends in the technology industry to select hardware and/or software solutions to meet current and future demands of the organization

Proven technology and team leadership experience

Experience with switches, Barracuda Spam and Virus Filter, VLANS routing, and VPN

Demonstrated broad knowledge of all aspects of IT operations, including business requirement analysis and design, systems and development, systems operations and life-cycle management

Previous management experience

A+ Certification or equivalent knowledge and skill

Two-year technical support experience

One year supporting and troubleshooting Windows O/S

Excellent communication skills

Experience with Microsoft SharePoint

Experience administrating SQL Server

Experience configuring, building and maintaining Windows Servers

Experience configuring, building and maintaining Exchange Server 2013/2016 mailboxes, Office 365 and Skype for Business

Experience in Virus Management using eSet or other related solutions

Experience in building, configure, and maintain optimal use of Virtual Servers using Hyper-V

Experience in managing a cloud infrastructure, such as AWS and Azure

Demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to work individually, within a team, with other groups and with customers

Communicate complex technical problems concisely and professionally to technical and non-technical audiences

Work on many tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment

Manage triage of telecommunication services

Create written technical documentation

Set priorities and reacts appropriately to emergency situations

MCP, Microsoft Certified Professional (Desirable)

MCSE, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (Desirable)

MCSA, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (Desirable)

MTA, Microsoft Technology Associate (Desirable)

CNNA, Cisco Certified Network Associate (Desirable)

CCNP, Cisco Certified Network Professional (Desirable)

ITIL V3 Foundation Certification (Desirable)
