Job Description

VOLT Workforce Solutions is currently assisting a client in their search for a IT manager. Our client is  revolutionary and cost-effective methods that are redefining metals manufacturing.


Position Responsibilities

Provide a “face” to IT within the company; manage all user help tickets through direct and in-person interaction. 
Perform health and performance monitoring
Establish & maintain an accurate inventory of hardware, components, software, license keys, etc.; specify and order equipment and software as needed for users; set up hardware and support 5S practices.
Recommend information technology strategies, architecture, policies, & procedures; comply with and expand security practices.  Basic cost analysis on IT expenditures.
Manage peripheral IT equipment such as the internal phone system, cell phones, wireless routers, networked lab equipment, specialty lab software, etc.
Support data entry needs and automation of data collection from a variety of internal sources into various SQL databases.
Support website and SharePoint updates.
Provide guidance and collaborate with our managers
Suggest and utilize best practices related to IT
Develop and manage integration of deployment automation with production system  
Work closely with development, test, and production personnel to ensure proper coordination and smooth releases to production system
Required Qualifications:

2 year or 4 year degree preferred

Ability to pass background check (required) and maintain a Secret level security clearance (desired).
Excellent work ethic.
Organizational skills, extreme attention to detail and proven history of excellent documentation.
Desire to be part of a team; ability to work directly with all users ranging from management to production floor employees.
Aspiration to become proficient with a wide variety of software and hardware.
Availability on off-hours to handle IT emergencies.
Experience implementing continuous integration/continues delivery models
Able to communicate effectively with non-technical individuals to determine needs/issues.
Able to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously to meet objectives and/or key deadlines.
Prior work with multiple services in a single environment
