Job Description

Our Client, based in San Diego is seeking an IT Manager to manage the day-to-day operations and support for all Software and Infrastructure systems.

The daily duties will include the following:

  • Support of all IT related on premise and cloud (such as AWS and Azure) infrastructures, including network, servers, workstations, hardware, and applications
  • Direction and prioritization of the day-to-day activities of help desk, infrastructure, networking, security, IT hardware, software and application support
  • System performance and capacity planning
  • Ensure maximum up-time and performance for network and Windows servers and Windows desktops
  • Development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans¬†
  • Implementation and support of Microsoft WSUS, Group Policies and SQL 2005, 2008, 2012, 2014 servers
  • Deploying & management of user administration corporate wide, including creating users and groups, assigning user and group rights, setting up shares, volumes and directories, monitoring servers, storage and system events corporate wide

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in a technical discipline or certification in Windows Server Administration or equivalent work experience
  • Maintain positive morale and unit cohesion as evidenced by maintaining a cooperative and flexible attitude toward coworkers, showing adaptability to change, exhibiting effective communication and interpersonal skills, and taking initiative to solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and understand trends in the technology industry to select hardware and/or software solutions to meet current and future demands of the organization
  • Experience with switches, Barracuda Spam and Virus Filter, VLANS routing, and VPN
  • Previous management experience
  • A+ Certification or equivalent knowledge and skill
  • One year supporting and troubleshooting Windows O/S
  • Experience administrating SQL Server
  • Experience configuring, building and maintaining Exchange Server 2013/2016 mailboxes, Office 365 and Skype for Business
