Job Description

Our client,  a leading corporate reseller of software, hardware, and related services is currently hiring for an IT Programmer Analyst  These position can be based in Raleigh, Greensboro, or Winston-Salem NC.

IT Programmer Analyst III - .NET Vulnerability Remediation Specialist serves as a software development and design Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the field of application security.  This individual will collaborate with application developers and architects to gain a detailed understanding of the cyber threat profile for client's business applications and provide software implementation and design level security consultation. Responsibilities will also include providing support for ongoing software security initiatives broadening the definition and adoption of secure software implementation, design, and architecture.  
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing application security implementation and design consultation for .NET development projects
  • Engaging .NET development teams to provide vulnerability remediation (consultation or hands on)
  • Participating in .NET open source library and framework security research and best practice guidance     
  • Assess the attack surface of client's .NET business applications detailing vulnerabilities and remediation options
  • Research security trends and best practices for .NET ecosystem languages and frameworks
  • Take part in S-SDLC activities such as application security code reviews
  • Participate in the creation, maintenance, and communication of client's secure coding standards, guidelines, examples, and architecture patterns
  • Contribute to client's application security training curriculum

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
  • Understanding of the .NET ecosystem (.NET Framework, .NET Core, etc.)
  • Experience with one or more of the following .NET languages: C#, F#, VB.NET, etc.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities such as SQL Injection, XSS, etc.
  • Excellent communication, consultative, collaboration, and persuasive conversation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with, influence, and motivate others
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • 2+ years of .NET development experience

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of the OWASP Top 10
  • Working knowledge of .NET build integration and pipeline tools
  • Experience with SAST products
  • Knowledge of SOAP and REST web service security
