Project Manager | Business Analyst

This is an estimated 9 month, plus extensions, temporary position, in Seattle, WA and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions. The Project Manager/Business Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Manages technical, functional, and/or external project team resources. Works closely with the business to understand business processes and drivers. Collaborates with the business in the development of business cases, project charters, process definitions, and functional requirements for small to medium-sized projects. Develops and maintains project plans and tracks and reports on status. Proficient in most aspects of analysis and is developing the full analysis capabilities described below. This role requires both project management and business analyst capabilities. The emphasis on each of these capabilities will vary based on business need, application/system requirements and complexity, and project size/scope.

Experience requirements:

  • Experience managing IT projects or initiatives from beginning to end
  • Experience working in the Agile, Waterfall methodologies
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of the structure, functionality, configuration, integration points, change processes, and workflow for software applications
  • Experience defining software requirements for moderately complex products/solutions; working knowledge of analytical tools, relational databases, and software applications
  • Experience in systems analysis and applying analytical skills and business knowledge to develop and implement innovative, technical solutions utilizing industry standard methodologies
  • Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Proven ability to analyze moderately complex data and business processes and create process maps
  • Experience creating queries, data modeling, and utilizing analytical tools (e.g. SQL) to create data extracts and reports
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Skilled in communicating technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent collaboration skills in working together with others across all IT segments
  • Acts on, and displays commitment to, self-development, and shares knowledge proactively with others
  • Proficient in exercising sound judgment in translating IT strategies into achievable IT initiatives


  • 4 to 6 years experience as Analyst and Project Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is require
  • Experienced in solving highly complex problems and technical issues
  • Understanding of ITSM and ITSM metrics
