Job Description



 

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects, ensuring the Company’s software development, R&D, device fulfillment and various strategic initiatives are properly planned and executed. Additionally, this position will work with various operations and special project teams to help define and document requirements, document plans of action and coordinate activities across multiple departments.  This position will also work with team members to gather and produce technical support documentation for systems and solutions.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees all aspects of projects including: setting milestones and deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring progress, tracking and summarizing project progress
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Assists technical team in requirements definition and design
  • Develops and/or reviews technical documentation on system use for end users
  • Assists QA department during the testing cycle to ensure high quality products to the business
  • Creates business and training documentation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
  • Reports on projects and new initiatives to ensure the Company receives the expected ROI
  • Keeps abreast of automotive technology industry trends, business models and emerging technologies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of proven working experience in project management
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving and decision making, sound judgment
  • Keen sense of time management with competing priorities and master of multi-tasking in a changing business environment
  • Capable of delivery outstanding customer service
  • Root cause analysis of problems and anomalies
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Team player able to work collaboratively and skilled at influencing without authority
