Job Description

Position: IT Security Administrator
Type: Contingent
Duration: 12 months (Probable Ext.) 
Location: Boise ID

Administer the company’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and processes, including all user account and access changes for new hires, internal moves, and separations.  Develop and implement IAM system configuration changes to meet security requirements and maintain workflows.  Review new systems and changes to existing systems for access and authentication requirements, and coordinate integration into existing systems and processes. 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum Two years in identity and access management and security administration
  • Bachelors degree in computer sciences or related courses in business administration
  • Knowledge of open databases (Sybase, MS SQL Server, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Incident response concepts and processes
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and related compliance (e.g. SOX, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, etc.)
  • Knowledge of security and risk frameworks (e.g. NIST, SANS, HITRUST, ISO, CoBIT, etc.)
  • One or more technical or security certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, GIAC, etc.)
  • Experience in system administration and technical support

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Authentication and authorization concepts and technologies
  • Identity and access management configuration, administration, concepts and technologies
  • Configuring and managing role-based access
  • Active Directory administration
  • Problem analysis, triage and trouble-shooting methodologies
  • Network and workstation operating systems
  • Auditing and testing procedures

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Manage, configure, and process data access requests.
  2. Interact with the user community to understand their security needs on a project and task basis.
  3. Weigh business needs against security concerns and articulate issues to management.
  4. Enforce security policies and procedures during system configuration and in completion of access and security requests.  Identify and report security violations.
  5. Ensure that the user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.
  6. Complete manual security and provisioning processes.  Troubleshoot and resolve system and data access issues.
