Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions has partnered up with our client who is the leading provider of industrial gas turbine engines and compressors!  We are in search of an IT Support Analyst to work onsite at our client facility in Desoto, TX!

This Information Technology position will be responsible for application and infrastructure support for the Desoto facility including off-hours problem resolution.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating and acquiring purchased software
  • Coordinating development of technology projects, providing project leadership, managing multiple and diverse task priorities, and applying IT procedures within the department 
  • Responds to first-level customer questions, resolves or escalates problems as necessary and maintains accurate records for all support requests in Remedy system
  • Provide technical support over multiple customer reporting channels such as phone, email, walk-up, Sametime
  • Working closely with the other site location staff to understand business needs, develop improvement ideas, and implement solutions
  • Provide regular maintenance of computer equipment.
  • Provide hardware break/fix solutions
  • Provide computer configuration according Solar standards.
  • Provide support on local applications
  • Provide support and assist on network issues (Data and voice)
  • Provide support and assist on Server support
  • Support Information Security requirements
  • Follows Solar IT standards and policies
  • Other duties as required and assigned
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationship with customers and IT personnel
  • Provide client support to resolve application problems
  • Oversee IT related projects

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent with 5 -10 years experience in Information Technology
  • Experience in application support, infrastructure support, infrastructure components, and Information Security practices
  • Great communication skills verbally and written
  • Highly organized, good at prioritizing and planning  
  • Prior troubleshooting skills and has ability to collaborate and work through issues 
  • Exercised good judgment in evaluating situations, making decisions, and applying IT strategies and procedures.
  • Ideal candidates will have background in manufacturing/shop floor support, manufacturing engineering processes, applications, and tools
