Job Description

Volt is currently recruiting for an ITaaS Project Manager for our client located in Ashburn, VA. This is a direct placement opportunity. The ITaaS Project Manager leads and directs concurrent projects classified as standard or complex. The individual may also be involved in larger scale projects supervised by a Senior ITaaS Project and/or ITaaS Program Manager.

The primary responsibility of the ITaaS Project Manager will be to interface with all project stakeholders to take projects from original concept through to final implementation, including handing over to Operations (whether internal or to the client's operations). In addition, you will work with the Pre-Sales and Sales to adequately scope and cost project solutions. You will ensure the project delivers the as-sold solution, remains within baselined budget and is delivered on time, while achieving quality criteria and maintaining client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct concurrent standard or complex projects
  • Engage with stakeholders to take projects from original concept through final implementation
  • Provide pre-sales support by working with sales teams to scope and cost a project solution which includes the completion of a proposal
  • Ensure the project delivers as-sold solution, remain within the baselined budget and is delivered on time whilst maintaining quality criteria and client satisfaction
  • Manage delivery of the project, including rigorous scope control and change management
  • Ensure client satisfaction and manage escalations, acting as single point of contact to the client
  • Act as people manager and enable project teams to deliver against performance objectives
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree or CAPM, preferred
  • Prince2 / PMP certification or working towards this
  • 3 - 5 years’ project management experience, preferably multi-national technology services environment
  • Proven client engagement experience
  • Experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs
  • Assertive with client satisfaction orientation
  • Demonstrate adequate team leadership, motivation ability and business acumen
  • Good understanding of, responsibility for and ability in all aspects of the full project life-cycle
  • Ability to manage customer satisfaction, commitment and expectations to high service levels and manage escalations adequately
  • Strong business acumen and good understanding of general technology concepts
  • Competent in project change management
  • Ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to establish and manage processes and practices through collaboration and the understanding of business
  • Ability to manage urgent and complex tasks simultaneously
