Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a dedicated Jig & Fixture Builder.  The successful candidate will have previous tool building experience in the aerospace industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Translate aerospace drawings and specifications
  • Use of fabrication equipment, conventional machine tools, precision measurement tools, and various hand tools.
  • Knowledge of assembly, bonding, riveting and other processes associated with tool shop jobs
  • Interact with other departments to accomplish tasks.
  • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work in a fast pace environment.
  • Maintain a clean work area daily as required.
  • Working ability to apply all applicable safety requirements to comply with regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced math skills (Algebra, Trigonometry, some GD&T
  • Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills
  • Advanced skills in use of hand tools
  • Experience with machining, turning, grinding, etc.
  • Blueprint reading - interpretation and application of drawing tolerances (including GD&T), general notes and specifications
  • Measurement and Test equipment ability - micrometers, calipers, bore gages, height gages, pin/plug gages, thread gages, optical equipment, gram scales, etc.
