Volt Workforce Solutions is looking for a gifted and talented Jr Systems Analyst for our client in the Chicago area 


Implement software requirements specifications by defining and analyzing system problem while designing and testing standards and solutions for manufacturing MES software.

• Understand complex manufacturing environments
• Write Requirements for new/improvement features and communicate with technical resources
• Define application problem by conferring with clients; evaluating procedures and processes.
• Communicate with Customers for detailed customer requirements and implementation details
• Liaising between Customer and Development
• Use creative thinking to find solutions with existing functionality
• Be a subject matter expert for particular software modules and be able to communicate orally and in writing to customers and non-technical staff
• Monitor and report progress to all stake-holders
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Triaging issues reported from field, capture details, reproduce and provide details to development

a. Bachelor’s or Masters in Computer Science, related study, or work experience or Advanced Manufacturing/Process Engineering/Mechanical Engineering, related study, or work experience
b. Previous Experience with MES software systems
c. Previous experience in manufacturing (electronics manufacturing preferred) working directly in the manufacturing environment.
d. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and software product development
e. 3 or more years technical experience

a. Strong written and verbal communication skills, both technical and non-technical
b. Analytical problem solver with a track record of managing complex technical projects
c. Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and tools predominantly in Agile environment
d. Highly motivated with a desire to help end users and solve business issues
e. Able to juggle multiple projects to meet deliverables
f. Identify creative and effective solutions to customer needs
