If you are a recent STEM graduate with 0 to 1 year of SDET experience with C/C++ in a Windows environment, database programming experience, and are looking to get a great start off to your career, then you may be the candidate we are looking for!

Our client is seeking a Junior Software Development Engineer in Testing with skills in C/ C++.  The selected candidate will work for eighteen (18) months in Redmond, WA from 8am to 5pm.  The Junior SDET will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing test plans, and performing repeatable testing procedures and processes.
  • Verifying triggers, stored procedures, referential integrity, and hardware product or system specifications. 
  • Writing and/or modifying DLLs and COM objects
  • Interpreting and modifying code as required with at least one programming and/ or one scripting language
  • System level configuration skills

Required KSAOs

  • Ability to read and write C/C++ REQUIRED
  • 1 or 3 years software testing experience
  • 1 year of testing experience in a Windows client/server environment
  • 1 year of development and/or database administration experience using a Microsoft product
  • The ideal candidate will have the below skills:
    • Ability to read logical and physical data model diagrams
    • Database programming experience i.e. SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, Informix and/or DB2 may be needed
    • Knowledge of Visual Basic, MFC, OLE, Internet tools, NT, compiler preprocessor

This is an estimated eighteen (18) month temporary position in Redmond, WA that is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions.  Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.  Position is subject to U.S. Government Contractor hiring eligibility requirements.  No third-party vendors.  Pay is commensurate with experience.
