Job Description

Volt has an opening for a LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer II for a client in Northridge, CA. Volt's Client is the leading manufacturer in the fields of industry, worker safety, health care, and consumer goods.

LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer II for 12 months contract in Northridge, CA:

QC Technical Service Chemist

o Science or technical degree with 3+ years lab experience preferred but experience using/installing/qualifying analytical lab instrumentation and software will be considered (i.e. HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV).

Possible exposure to Latex. Role requires safety shoes, hearing protection

The QC Technical Service Chemist has overall responsibility for ensuring that QC instrumentation and devices are installed, qualified and maintained per site procedures. This includes oversight for metrology and recalibration activities, minimizing disruptions to operations through communication, partnering and effective coordination. Those in this job role provide training and assistance to internal customers and work on continuous improvement of systems through reviews and projects.

o Develops validation protocols

o Coordinates equipment installation and qualification activities.

o Monitors analytical system performance, troubleshoots and develops corrective action and preventive maintenance plans as issues arise.

o Works with service technicians both directly and remotely to resolve complex or unusual system failures.

o Provides accurate project and equipment documentation, such as user requirement specifications, design qualification reports and installation/qualification/validation protocols and summary reports.

o Learns become proficient in corporate and systems to prepare project information and documentation.
