Job Description

olt Workforce Solutions is looking for a Lab Technician for an worldwide leader located in Maplewood.  

Worker performs chemical, physical, and mechanical tests required for research, development, and quality control of processes and products. Assist with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results.

This person will be responsible for – but not limited to – following specific duties:

  • Prepare materials, prepare bonds, and organize for product testing.
  • Assist in laboratory experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and products based on research.
  • Worker performs chemical tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products.
  • May test or make visual observations on product samples from competitors and communicate test results to the appropriate requester.
  • Maintain accurate technical reports for information transfer.
  • Worker will conduct hands-on test with multiple pieces of equipment.
  • May assist in the development and modification of test methods and apparatus for new products and processes.
  • Perform statistical data analysis, interpretation, and documentation of experimental results in technical notebooks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 12 months of post-high school formal technical training
  • Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience
  • Ability to follow procedures and methods while working well on a self-directed team
  • Good mechanical aptitude and skills
  • Good computer skills – specifically MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Great communicator in person, and in emails
  • Highly efficient in time management
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, and results driven
  • Adaptability to team needs, and working for many individuals in various groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Laboratory technician certificate or A.S. Degree from an accredited school
  • 2+ years of working in lab experience
  • Hands on experience with preparing bonds for testing equipment
  • Previous experience in automotive / repair market highly desired
  • Proven ability to analyze, problem solve, and implement solutions
  • Demonstrated experience using power tools and testing equipment.
