Job Description

Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Wixom, MI

Salary: $50,000/year

Shift: 7:30am-4:30pm



JOB SUMMARY

The Technician will be responsible for supporting various markets in the production of demonstrations and/or testing as necessary to support sales and engineering teams.



ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply basic test set ups and execution under the guidance of an engineer or sales team.
  • Wriring reports on tests run. 
  • Compliance with safety guidelines and regulations for personal and environmental protection.
  • Maintains all MSDS sheets as required for necessary future retrieval and documentation.
  • Support customers with new technology introductions/start-up, travel is a part of this position.
  • Robot programming for customer demos will be important.
  • Other  duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Education:

  • Associate Degree in technical discipline or equivalent years of experience, required.
  • Zero (0) to three (3) years of experience working in a lab environment or field service is required.

Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience preferred in valves/machine/electrical testing and assembly.
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service experience working directly with customers.
  • PLC programming experience in Allen Bradley is preferred.
  • Robot programming experience is beneficial.
