Job Description:

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a Laboratory Analyst located in Maplewood, MN. The individual hired for this position of Laboratory Analyst will have the opportunity to work with high-tech electronics applications and perform chemical, biological, physical and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research and development as well as quality control.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Measurement work for high-tech electronics applications
  • Execution of standard operating procedures to polish glass and metal disks
  • Perform chemical, biological, physical, and/or mechanical analyses and tests
  • Assist with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results of testing methods

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree with 5+ years microelectronics process experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Science, Engineering, Math or equivalent) with 1+ year(s) microelectronic process experience (educational experience is acceptable)
  • Thrive in a team environment and work well with others
  • Comfortable with the Microsoft suite of computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and database tools
  • Punctuality and regularity of attendance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a laboratory or technical environment preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience and/or training in inspection procedures and/or the product line highly preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and willing to learn new technology and responsibilities
  • Experience preparing and testing abrasives or polishing media for industrial applications
