Job Description

Our client is looking to make an impact by creating mobile apps connected to HIPAA compliant mobile backend services utilizing AWS services and interfacing with large data sets from hospital and insurance providers. This position would be responsible for leading the AWS development team to continue achieving these goals and discover new ways to solve new problems.

This is a direct hire opportunity with an expanding company with outstanding growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the architecture and database design of external data integration services
    • Experience with insurance claims systems integration is a plus
    • Experience with medical records systems integration is a plus
  • Architect and develop dynamically scalable, highly available, highly reliable and fault-tolerant backend services utilizing AWS cloud services
  • Evaluate and identify emerging technologies for service driven platform development and/or migration
  • Work with a team of skilled interdisciplinary professionals to grow and enhance your technical and leadership skills

Desired Qualifications – Experience with:

  • Architecting AWS Database Services for enterprise data services
    • NoSQL databases & relational database management systems
  • Cloud based enterprise data integration to 3rd party data resources
    • Mainframe formats, JSON formats, XML formats
  • Multi-tenant SaaS architecture
  • Architecting & developing AWS Lambda services & Enterprise microservices
    • Experience with Node.js, python or other languages supported by AWS Lambda
  • Utilizing some or all the following AWS services:
    • API Gateway configuration with ELB/ALB services
    • Configuration of IAM Roles and Users
    • CloudFormation
    • S3, EC2, Route 53
    • ECS (or other Docker container monitoring services)
    • Cognito (or other 3rd Party OAuth Services)
    • SQS (or other Message Queues Services)
    • SNS (AWS Mobile Hub is a plus)
    • CloudWatch Log monitoring
  • Unit testing, automated UI testing, TDD and/or BDD
  • Source control systems such as Mercurial, SVN or GIT
  • Agile SCRUM Methodology (Atlassian toolset a plus – Jira, Confluence)
  • Bachelor of Science Degree and a minimum of 6 years of technical professional experience

Bonus Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer
  • AWS Analytics Services
    • Amazon Redshift and Kinesis is a plus
  • Experience with insurance claims systems integration is a plus
  • Experience with medical records systems integration is a plus
  • Familiar with React is a plus
