Job Description

Volt is currently seeking a Lead Quality  Auditor.

Candidate Responsibilities

ISO 9001:2008 and ISO9001:2015 and ISO 17025 SME, Lead Auditor, teacher and coach. Summary: Audit all personnel within a major engineering organization to their documented Quality Management System (QMS), evaluating all documentation and records necessary to establish conformance with the organizations QMS requirements. Issue corrective action requests and follow up / approve responses. Working with all levels of staff and leadership within the organization up to and including product managers.  Coaching and training related to QMS and requirements.  Skills and Competencies: verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. Team player and detail oriented. Knowledge of engineering, product development, validation, inspection, and quality control processes.  Present to large groups, organize and coordinate audit schedules and report outs.

Typical Day

Continuous auditing, training, coaching of an organization of about 1000 employees performing product development work in electronic components, software and systems.  Identify gaps, communicate and follow up to ensure the organization responds.  Coordinate annual certification audit.

Education Requirements:

Certified Lead Quality Auditor for ISO 9000:2008 or 9001:2015 and trained in ISO 17025 auditing.

Technical Skills

Understanding of quality management systems, computers, PowerPoints, spreadsheets, Word documents, document control software, CARS & SARS. 5 years or greater experience auditing to QMS systems in engineering product development organizations.

Soft Skills

Organization of large and small groups, ability to interact with all levels of leadership and staff to educate and drive progress to meet requirements of the QMS and to investigate evidence of conformance to those systems.  Courage to identify and present gaps to the organization.
