Our client has an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated Lead Software Engineer in Chicago, IL. This is a contingent opportunity forecasted for one year.  As the Lead Software Engineer, you will spearhead the design, development and deployment of our client’s state-of-the-art condition monitoring product. You will build and be part of a fast-moving global team that will develop a best-in-class product for our client’s dealers worldwide, to lower cost of service, and improve customer support.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a Software Engineer or Computer Science discipline

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of experience designing and developing software applications in Java OR at least 5 years of experience in Java with a master’s degree
• 3+ years of experience deploying and maintaining software using public clouds such as AWS or Azure
• Experience working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum)
• Experience debugging and maintaining software in Linux or Unix platforms
• Experience designing well-defined Restful APIs
• Must demonstrate solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals like data structures and algorithms
• Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints
• Passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
• Demonstrated leadership on medium to large-scale projects impacting strategic priorities
