Fast growing and innovative Eco-Friendly Organization is seeking to hire a Lead Technician, Injection Molding/Decontamination to join their passionate TEAM!   

The purpose of the Lead Technician, Injection Molding/Decontamination is to manage the personnel, equipment and materials within the department during the assigned shifts. The Lead Technician must ensure the department achieves work performance goals, adherence to company rules and ensure products are produced in accordance to the companies highest quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities


o Attain/exceed throughput (lbs/hr) goals per mold specification

o Attain/exceed quality yield targets of +95%

o Attain/exceed uptime targets of +95%

o Demonstrate highest level of competence regarding responsibilities of Process Technicians; assist Process Technicians in all duties.


o Attain/exceed uptime targets of +95%

o Attain/exceed performance targets of +95%

o Attain/exceed quality yield targets of +95%

o Demonstrate highest level of competence regarding responsibilities of Process Technicians; assist Process Technicians in all duties.


o Day to day management of temp staff, forklift operators including training and team building.

o Ensure staff has all tools required to do their job safely.

o Verify paperwork is correctly filled out daily and tasks are completed at highest level.


o Ensure paperwork is filled out with zero errors by 9am daily.


o Ensure all inventory records are up to date and all products are well-organized.


o Schedule refreshers and trainings for all employees; discipline as needed.

o Responsible for following food safety requirements of the facility.

o Zero GMP violations per month.


o Monitor and evaluate safety program with the direct guidance of EHS Manager for PPE, training, equipment and signage requirements. Make necessary changes to affected programs including evaluating vendors and comparing products.

Job Description: Lead Technician, Injection Molding/Decontamination


o Conduct training for new hires and regular cyclical trainings for the department.

• New hire training: introductions to plastics, equipment, safety, GMP.

• Cyclical training: regular calendar of training on work instructions for equipment within department.

• Track training in master document to ensure everyone is up to date.

• Draft and update work instructions for Krones, Pelletron and auxiliary equipment operation and procedures as needed.


o Supply ‘customer’ departments (all depts) with required feedstocks- whether high quality flake, clear

communication, accurate data or clean records.

o Communicate shift activities through email.

o Work with key vendors to ensure equipment is operating at highest level.


• Associate Degree in Plastics Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, Mechanical Technology or

higher Equivalent Degree. Past/Current Experience will be considered.

• 5+ years stable work experience in a related manufacturing setting, with 3+ years in a supervisory/leadership role.

• SQF, HACCP background is a plus.

• Must be able to read and write in English, as well as proficiency in math. HS Diploma or GED.

• Strong communication skills, ability to speak Spanish a plus.

• Demonstrate safe work habits and extensive knowledge of workplace safety is required.

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Willingness and ability to learn new systems

• Ability to create a culture which promotes a team environment.
