Lean Quality Control Engineer  - 6 month contract - Lisle, IL

Volt Workforce solutions is seeking a Lean Quality Control Engineer for a 6 month contact with our client who is a leading global supplier of advanced electronic components and solutions. As the Lean/QC Engineer with the Reliability Engineering Test Lab, you will be expected to:

  • Develop rapid improvement events with a focus on reducing costs, cycle time and improved quality
  • Evaluate workflow processes in the lab and identify areas of improvement
  • Evaluate work, standards and best practices across the department ensuring holistic view of value and effectiveness to the department and organization
  • Facilitate and participate in the Continuous Improvement efforts utilizing Quality Tools
  • Facilitate and participate in the Corrective Action process (8D) process
  • Coordinate new process techniques that improve overall job efficiencies
  • Lead continuous improvement process to gain awareness of value stream, six sigma and lean philosophies throughout the department
  • Implement systems and procedures that assure compliance with Quality Standards
  • Lead 5S type of initiative to improve housekeeping in the department

Position Qualifications

  • BS in an Engineering or quality discipline
  • 5 years + of experience in a Lean QC Role preferably in an Electronics Product testing lab environment
  • ISO 17025 experience preferred
  • Auditing experience preferred
  • The candidate must possess excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills along with problem solving and conflict management skills
