Job Description

Volt is seeking a Legal on Site Service Assistant, to join our team working with our client, a global leader in document production, imaging, and business services in the San Diego, CA area. This is a temporary assignment with the possibility of converting to client's staff, depending on factors such as attendance and performance.


Location: San Diego, California

Pay: $14.09/hr - 18.65/hr

Hours: M-F 8AM to 5PM

Full Time 40 hours per week

Duration: 2 Months

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and reconfigure conference room meeting spaces and social areas,
  • Reset each room after each use,
  • ordering food and kitchen supplies,
  • maintain supply inventory in each conference room & break area review current and future meeting schedules for changes and be prepared for upcoming reservations,
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness of assigned areas.
  • Reception Coverage - to include breaks, lunches, as well as absences.
  • ships and receives product and supplies
  • sorts, distributes and handles incoming and outgoing mail/faxes, as well as applies necessary postage. Provides copier maintenance and/or repair of customer site equipment.
  • Runs high volume copy machines and performs binding and finishing work.
  • Ensures convenience copiers are working properly, checking for quality via daily inspections.
  • Clears paper jams and informs technicians of specific problems.
  • Performs all repair service on customer copier equipment.
  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential documents that may be time sensitive
  • Provide upmost in quality work due to the sensitive nature of documents and projects that are required in a legal environment.
  • Maintains records for management reports and inventories of supplies needed.
  • Distributes office supplies, fax transmissions and mail to company personnel and/or designated drop-off points as required.
  • Calculates charges for jobs performed and maintains some billing logs.
  • Responds to and coordinates all service calls required by customer.
  • May perform filing duties in conjunction with specific customer requests

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, And Certifications)

  • Requires strong hospitality experience.
  • Prefer someone that has worked in a legal environment before, but if not, focus on hospitality.
  • Candidates must be able to push/pull heavy furniture assisting in rearranging conference room tables and chairs.
  • Ability to conduct mail runs.
  • Keen eye for detail.
