Our client, based in San Francisco, is searching for an IT Support Technician for an immediate opportunity! 

Job Description

  • Be part of a team of engineers providing excellent support to our customers and partners using remote tools in troubleshooting problems
  • Advanced level knowledge of PC software applications and strong understanding of PC operating systems.
  • Manage technical issues, solutions and sales opportunity progress by creating cases within our help desk system
  • Ensure clear, professional communication between our teams and the customer
  • Create and Maintain self-help documents
  • Help desk and Desktop support to resolve tickets, work with support of printers, phones, video conferencing equipment and imaging of computers.
  • Network printing / printer troubleshooting
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 7/8, Office 2010/2013 including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.

Qualifications

  • Prior Technical Support Engineer experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience in Terminal Services / Citrix / VMWare View environments
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, Including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Flexibility, integrity and creative problem-solving skills are imperative to be successful in this role
  • Thin client experience a plus
  • A team player who is influential and builds good working relationships across all levels
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with engineers, sales teams and management
