Job Description:

Seeking an experienced, highly motivated, System Administrator to support HPC computing infrastructure. As a Sys Admin you will be responsible for installing, configuring and troubleshooting hardware such as servers, storage devices, network switches and KVM switches, as well as a variety of core services and application software running on CentOS.

Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting wide variety of hardware in the data center.
• Moving hardware between racks and re-cabling
• Receiving shipments and tracking inventory
• Troubleshooting the automated provisioning process (Cobbler, PXE, Kickstart, DHCP, DNS)
• Responding to alerts from the monitoring system
• Upgrading operating systems and applications
• Using Chef and Git to configure infrastructure resources
• Installing, configuring, tuning and troubleshooting Infiniband and Omni-Path fabrics

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must physically reside in New Mexico
• 5 years of experience as a Linux/Unix system administrator including experience with bash scripting, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NTP
• Experience with Git
• Experience with configuration management using tools such as Chef, Ansible, Salt or Puppet (Chef is preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have Qualifications:
• Experience installing Hardware RAID controllers
• Experience with storage devices (DDN, NetApp, JBODs)
• Understanding of Infiniband networking
• Understanding of Omni-Path networking
• Experience with multiple versions of RHEL, CentOS, SLES and Ubuntu.
• Experience creating and managing virtual machines with KVM/QEMU
• Experience with Cobbler, PXE, Kickstart
• Experience with FreeIPA
• Experience with IPMI, Conman, Powerman
• Experience with Slurm
• Experience with Zabbix or other monitoring tools
• Experience with Gerrit
• Experience with Ruby or Python
