Live Operations QA Tester in Culver City, CA at Volt

Job Description

Our client, based in Los Angeles, is seeking a Mobile Game QA Tester for an immediate opportunity!

The daily duties will include working with Mobile platforms (iOS and Android) to test current and future title releases. Candidates will be expected to understand QA testing and best practices. Understanding the QA lifecycle and testing plans is important to complete each build in a timely manner. It is preferred if candidates have QA test experience and be able to work with developers and other design staff in the video game industry.

Requirements:
The requirements include having a desire to work in an exciting environment and make a difference! The position requires de-bugging new and existing software on Mobile device platforms (iOS, Android).  Other QA platforms are a plus, but Mobile will be the primary platform for this opportunity. This position will require documentation for reporting errors to the development team.  In addition, working with Live Operations and events for new game promotions will be required for the role.  Additional experience includes:

• Be very familiar with free-to-play mobile games, particularly ones based around a well-known IP ("mid-core" titles)
• Have experience with and/or be comfortable working with cross-functional teams, particularly product
• Be adept at-risk assessment and prioritization
• It is a plus if candidates have tested game software in the past
