Job Description

Our client, a global electronics manufacturing company is looking for a Localization Producer for their facility in Cupertino CA.  

This is an estimated 6+ months Contingent position and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions. We are among the largest Staffing Companies in the USA for Contingent/Temporary and Direct Hire placements, and support many of the top-rated IT, Engineering and Aerospace companies in the USA. 

Looking for a highly dedicated onsite Localization Producer supporting the localization process for content such as but not limited to Retail Seasonal Campaigns, Training, Marketing, Communications, and Video.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create, plan, and execute projects and manage work through all stages of the localization workflow including translation, validation, and in-situ review.
  • Work closely with Localization producers, translation vendors, and Testers / Editors to ensure projects are completed on time and at the high level of quality expected by the business
  • Confirm localization requests and prepare source files for the localization process.
  • Support the Retail Marketing team with all linguistic and functional QA efforts, including: planning and execution of QA projects, writing and refining QA plans, test cases, preparing accounts, environment set-up, and necessary equipment.
  • Provide support to Editors and Testers, resolve content and translation queries/bugs, troubleshoot technical issues about WorldServer and other internal systems.
  • Pull project data from multiple sources and provide weekly report of work completed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Localization QA and project management
  • Working knowledge of software development methods and processes
  • Experience with WorldServer and/or other Translation Management Systems as well as bug tracking tools
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities, remaining calm under pressure
  • Comfort with a high level of ambiguity
  • Strong understanding and appreciation for product/cultural nuances by geography
  • Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to assess business needs, prioritize accordingly and escalate appropriately
  • Proficiency with Apple products and applications preferred
  • Language skills in one or more languages other than English strongly preferred

BA/BS in Computer Science, Linguistics, a related field or equivalent experience
