Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking an Logistics Analyst!  This is a contingent position forecasted for 1 Year with our client located in Athens, GA.

Job Description:

The main function of a logistics planning analyst is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. A typical planning analyst is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

Examine documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformation to standards and specifications. Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities. Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures. Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.

  • Warehouse storage design & manufacturing point-of-use (POU) design
  • Machinery & equipment design and procurement
  • Workforce & equipment planning
  • Logistics process design
  • Inventory transfer & rearrangement planning
  • Keep aware of the local WMS system and integrate this into the overall design of the facility
  • Design and implement successful logistics solutions
  • Providing support and assistance to business unit or facility groups to resolve transportation issue
  • Using the CPS Guiding Principles, leading aggressive continuous improvement efforts to:
  • Eliminate excess inventory
  • Manage material to PFEP-defined flowpaths
  • Provide development, maintenance and support of logistics processes for the customer
  • Manage and support business unit or facility logistics activities

Required:

  • Bachelor Degree: Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
  • In lieu of Degree: 4 years of Military Logistics Planning or 4 years Manufacturing / Industrial planning experience.
