Logistics Analyst in Sanford, NC at Volt

Volt is seeking a Logistics Analyst to work for our client located in Sanford, NC.  This is a contingent position forecasted for 18 months.  90% of this job can be performed remotely; 10% will be in the office (as needed during build phases).  You will be under limited direction and perform a variety of logistic and supply chain support activities in the areas of logistics planning, materials planning, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare inventory reports detailing delivery updates on quantity and order date for materials needed to meet the prove design production schedule
• Follow-up on purchase or production requisitions as appropriate confirming acceptance and delivery schedule
• Ensure purchased material is ordered, shipped and delivered to meet scheduled build requirements
• Use of multiple Caterpillar information systems to track and plan for material and shipping
• Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies, notify appropriate personnel of results or required actions, and follow to closure
• Communicate with suppliers and internal partners daily to expedite the delivery of materials
• Daily tracking and communication of metric information supporting new product introduction

Education:  Bachelor's degree related to Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration and/or Logistics Management or 5+ years of related experience in Materials Operations or Material Planning

Required Experience:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
• Understanding of MRP and ERP systems
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Ability to work with diverse workgroup and get along well with others
• Ability to build strong collaborative relationships
• Ability to be very detailed orientated
• Ability to adapt quickly to changes/needs and to be flexible

*** This position is in Sanford, NC.  It will be 90% remote, with the occasional need to be onsite.  Candidates must be able to relocate to this location at their own expense if they are not already local to the area.  ***

Must be available to work on W2 for Volt.  No C2C or 3rd party vendors please.
