Candidates will be expected to perform warehouse work related to receipt, storage, shipment, distribution and delivery of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and bio-medical equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to unload and process in-bound orders for receipt in SAP.
- Inspects inbound shipments for damage or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
- Analyze, process and prepare orders in SAP for delivery to both Domestic and International destinations.
- Ability to review, and pack orders for shipment.
- Working knowledge and ability to use Windows operating system and Microsoft Office-based programs, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Ability to process orders for shipment in standard courier system software, i.e. FedEx and UPS
- Ability to monitor and order shipping supplies
- Essential cross functional team work skills, to be able to communicate regularly with other departments requiring shipping assistance.
- Excellent clerical, data entry skills to maintain integrity of inventory accuracy in database, file records and perform routine audits.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and inventory control methodologies
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, safety and environmental standards.
- Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work standing, sitting and walking for the majority of a scheduled shift.
- Must be able to push cart holding up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- May be asked to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Job requires frequent reaching, bending, stooping and kneeling.
- Job requires frequent handwriting onto inventory cards.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Experience with SAP Sales and Distribution and Material Movement modules is preferred.
- Knowledge of Export compliance regulations preferred.
- Experience with and understanding of warehouse operations, and is capable of applying knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring analysis and judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
- Ability to follow daily standard work instructions, with minimal supervision, and general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in fast paced, technical, manufacturing environment required.
- Education: Minimum High School graduate. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
